Wow. It has been awhile since I have posted. But this was my issue. I blog when the boys have their nap / quiet time. For the past couple weeks, Noah (4 years old) goes over to the couch, makes it up nice with pillows on both ends and a big, comfy blanket in the middle. Then he invites me to snuggle and nap with him. How can I say no to that? So blogging time has been replaced with quality time with one little boy who is growing up way too fast.
It has been a fun and busy time since I last posted. We visited family and officially added a new member to the family.
Noah had a repeat performance as a ring bearer and loved every minute. He was a dancing machine. The couple times I made him stop dancing to take a break, he would just keep saying, “Mom, they need me out there! I gotta go!”
I checked another item of my Fall Fun list and finally decorated the outside of the house for Fall!
This is something I’ve always wanted to do, but just never seem to get around to. So on a whim one night, we loaded up the boys and headed out to the local pumpkin farm. It was such a fun time. We had the farm to ourselves (it was about 6:30 pm on a Saturday night). They were great at helping us pick out pumpkins, corn stalks, hay barrels, and they even let the boys feed a baby cow! We drove home in the dark, put the littles to bed, and Josh, Noah, and I decorated the house by the light of our headlamps. It was perfect. And the following weekend we did get around to raking all those leaves too!
Other than that, we have been laying low and enjoying Fall. Before it gets too cold my goal is to let the little boys play outside every Tuesday and Thursday morning that Noah is in preschool. They think this is a wonderful idea.
I hope everyone is enjoying everything Fall has to offer as much as we are. Oh, and one last very important discovery of the weekend. All three boys do still fit into one laundry basket.
