At our Door County vacation rental, I carefully curated every detail to create a coastal vibe with casual style and vibrant colors that is an inviting space for our guests. A key element of this design is the artwork, which brings the beauty of nature indoors. We are thrilled to feature pieces by artist Jorey Hurley, whose minimalist yet deeply expressive style captures the essence of the natural world.

The three featured pieces—Egret in Wetlands, Cormorant Over Wetlands, and Chamomile Flower Still Life—reflect the tranquil landscapes and wildlife of Door County.

Egret in Wetlands & Cormorant Over Wetlands

The wetlands of Door County provide a sanctuary for a variety of bird species, and these two prints bring that serene environment indoors. Egret in Wetlands features a single egret standing in the water, surrounded by lush grasses and a soft, reflective surface. The scene is both peaceful and striking, making it an ideal piece for promoting relaxation. Similarly, Cormorant Over Wetlands captures a solitary cormorant in flight over the same environment, conveying movement and freedom.
